Doug Reinhardt, the onetime Angels player turn reality star, is tied to the purchase of a French chateau-style estate in Laguna Niguel's guard-gated Bear Brand Ranch.
The house sold for $9.5 million.
Property records show Reinhardt and mother Kelly Roberts, co-owner of the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa in Riverside, share ownership of the house.
Constructed in 2009, the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom estate with floor-to-ceiling glass doors sits on close to 2 acres. It has unobstructed ocean views from throughout much of its 11,643 square feet.
Amenities include a wine cellar, library and gym.
The gourmet kitchen boasts professional-grade appliances, dual islands with seating and a retractable pot filler faucet. It opens to the breakfast nook and family room.
In the master suite, there's an office, two walk-in closets and a private balcony. The attached bathroom features a separate shower and a therapeutic tub.
Outside, lush landscaping shares the grounds with a solar-heated swimming pool and spa, built-in barbecue area and two dog runs.
John Stanaland of Villa Real Estate was the listing agent. Piper Rissmiller of Re/Max First Class represented Reinhardt and Roberts.
The house initially listed at $10.995 million in April 2019. It sold March 5.
Rissmiller, along with fellow Re/Max First Class agent Karen Phillips, also represented Reinhardt and his mother in another property they co-owned, a Ritz Cove home in Dana Point that sold in February for $8.2 million.
Reinhardt was fresh out of high school when he signed with the Angels as their 10th round pick in 2004. He signed with the Baltimore Orioles in 2008, then blew out his knee.
That same year the retired ballplayer appeared as Lauren Conrad's TV boyfriend on the MTV scripted reality series "The Hills."
He also famously dated Paris Hilton for about two years.
These days, the 34-year-old is a father of identical twin boys with fiancee Mia Keana Irons.
